Web5 de mai. de 2013 · As CO 2 is introduced from the bottom of the porous rectangle, the buoyancy flow against the gravity is induced either by temperature or by mass fraction variations of CO 2 and water (see Fig. 1 ). This buoyancy force is responsible for advective mass transport in the fracture. Webwe implemented the equations in the scientific software OpenGeoSys and performed comparative simulations of a compressible gas flow scenario. We found out that the difference between ideal gas and real gas behaviour is quite large, but the differences among the real gas equations have no significant influence on the simulation results.
