If it's not heavy enough to be stable free-standing, secure it to a wall. Operating the handle places significant stresses on the bench and you want it to be as movement free as possible. If you stool is 24” high, just add to the table top height. So, to accomodate a 24” seat, I'd need about 36 inches to the bottom of table. biting my tongue while eating
